JORDAN FRIEDMAN

COMPOSER. CONDUCTOR. TROMBONIST. ORCHESTRATOR

As a composer, conductor, tenor and bass trombonist, and orchestrator, Jordan Friedman is a well-rounded musician whose dedication to music makes him driven to succeed and deliver the best possible performance.

Jordan is currently the founder and artistic director of the Skybound Cinematic Orchestra. He also played trombone in the pit orchestra for VOPA's production of Oklahoma. In 2024, Jordan conducted an original composition with the Westlake Village Symphony. He was also commissioned by the Musician's Union of Orange County to write an original brass quintet piece that was premiered by the Huntington Brass Players. Since Fall 2022, Jordan has played tenor trombone in the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony and the Christmas and Easter services at the United Armenian Church. Jordan also arranged combo charts for the Chris Canales Jazz Combo.

 

Jordan Graduated from California State University, Northridge(CSUN) in 2022. He had the honor to study Trombone under Andrew Malloy, an LA Studio Trombonist, and Paul Radke, a trombonist in the Los Angeles Philharmonic. In addition, Jordan also studied conducting, orchestration, and composition with Elizabeth Sellers, and Max Mueller.
